One of my favourite food bloggers is David Lebovitz, an American pastry chef living in Paris. We are not talking a blog filled with complicated creations that only a pastry chef can pull off; instead his recipes range from simple, classic French dishes to traditional baking with hints of his American roots.
Paris is one of our all time favourite places to visit, and following David on Instagram and via his blog makes me feel like I’m dipping my toe in the pool of Parisian life. So I couldn’t resist picking up a copy of his latest book ‘My Paris Kitchen’. This is not just a recipe book; it’s filled with tales of life in his adopted city. The first dish I made was the Ham, Roquefort & Pear quiche. What more do we need to say, sweet, salty and smoky wrapped up in buttery pastry – everyone was happy.
So when looking for ideas to use up that Christmas ham, look no further, here is our take on David’s quiche recipe.
